The Porsche 911 Carrera S Review continues to set the standard in driving, features, and pricing.

The Porsche 911 Carrera S

For six decades, the Porsche 911 has been honing the art of the sports automobile. It represents performance, technical accuracy, and subdued elegance. Porsche makes modest but significant adjustments, reminding everyone why the 911 is still the standard with the debut of the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S.

We spent two full days driving the new Carrera S on highways, through the city, and on twisting backroads. Living with Porsche’s newest masterpiece is really completely unique.

2025: What’s New?

Porsche does not hurry upgrades; with the 992.2 generation, they have made minor but noteworthy changes.

More Power: The 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six now produces 473 horsepower, 30 more than it did years ago.

Active front air flaps and a more intelligent adaptive rear spoiler help stability and efficiency by sharpening aerodynamics.

Now standard are matrix LED headlights with sleeker form and improved night vision.

Faster, crisper, updated PCM infotainment now with wireless Android Auto compatibility.

Better ride quality without sacrificing any sharpness via refined chassis tuning.

Though the details are cleaner, clearer, and more deliberate, at first look it is still the classic 911 form you are familiar with.

Driving the 2025 Carrera S: Every Porsche 911 performs on the road. The 2025 Carrera S drives gorgeously, however.

Power Flow
The engine wakes up swiftly. As the twin turbos spool up, you get a little growl from behind you; unlike other turbocharged engines, the sound seems linear and natural. The torque punch is instantaneous and there is no latency. Early and somewhat powerful is peak torque (390 lb (0.18 t)-ft).

Pulling hard through every gear, the automobile whirlingly passes 6,500 rpm. Though the optional Sport Chrono Package allows 0–60 mph in 3.1 seconds, in real-world driving the springy mid-range power seems most enticing.

Transmission
Still, the greatest automatic gearbox available in the world is the 8-speed PDK.

Shifts in Normal Mode are buttery smooth and exactly timed for a leisurely cruise.

Sport Plus incorporates features such as holding ratios longer, snapping off virtually instantaneous upshifts, and automatically rev-matching on downshifts with precise blips.

You never have to consider the gearbox; it appears to know just what you need.

Control and Directional Handling
A Porsche’s signature is always steering feel; hence, the 2025 Carrera S is no exception.

It is ideal for navigating through cities, as it remains lightweight even at slower speeds.

It naturally weights at speed and provides input on front tire performance.

Turn-in is quick, accurate, and confidence-inspiring.

You can make little steering modifications mid-corner on a twisty backroad and feel the chassis react right away. Originally infamous for abrupt oversteer, the rear-engine arrangement today just increases traction and security.

Suspensions
The normal Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system adjusts automatically for the state of the road.

The Carrera S rides better in Comfort mode than many sedans— flexible, under control, and never unpleasant.

In Sport Plus, the suspension tightens just enough for best accuracy without becoming harsh.

Optional rear-axle steering sharpens reflexes even further, giving the vehicle on tricky roads a smaller, lighter machine feel.

Inside the Carrera S: Classic Meets Modern 2025

The 911 gently reminds you that it’s a luxury automobile too, right inside.

Analog Central Tachometer: Configurable digital panels flank the cabin layout.

Minimalist Dashboard: Perfect switchgear, clean, sophisticated with actual metal trim.

Sport Seats Plus: ideal combination of comfort and support.

Every touchpoint feels expensive, with everything arranged rationally. The driving stance is low, focused, and authoritative—just about ideal.

Technical Advancement
Porsche’s revised PCM infotainment system operates on a clean 10.9-inch touchscreen. Standard together with built-in navigation are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The voice control system detects natural instructions clearly without ambiguity. Though a premium audio system from Burmester is available, honestly the flat-six soundtrack is more entertaining.

Practicality: Could you daily run a 911?
The answer is certainly yes.

Enough for a carry-on bag or a weekend’s worth of groceries—front trunk space (“frunk”).

More symbolic than useful, rear seats are good for little children or additional baggage.

Visibility: Good by sports vehicle criteria; low dashboard and big windows help.

Every day you could run the Carrera S without feeling as if you are sacrificing anything. The legend of the build quality and dependability of Porsche supports that.

Important Performance Choices
Porsche enjoys choices; hence, even if you could only choose a Carrera S, devotees would want these:

Sharper throttle mapping, active engine mounts, launch control, and the must-have Sport Response button for instantaneous max attack are included with the Sport Chrono Package.

Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) are well worth it if you want to do track days.

At low speeds, it tightens the turning radius; at high speeds, it stabilizes.

These improvements make the already outstanding Carrera S absolutely unique.

Comparatively to rivals, how does it stand? The Aston Martin Vantage More passionate style, yet less exact and heavier.

Audi R8: Big V10 drama; more costly and bulky.

Though very quick, the BMW M4 Competition lacks daily comfort and grace.

Though not as linked to the road, the Mercedes-AMG SL 55 is fast and opulent.

Unlike the 911 Carrera S., no vehicle balances everyday use with raw performance and sophistication.

Porsche DNA: Development Rather Than Revolution
Porsche understands that buyers of the 911 do not seek change for its own sake. The 2025 Carrera S only polishes the wheel to a clearer gloss; it does not recreate it.

The driving posture is still ideal.

Still, the engine sings a mechanical tune unlike anything else.

The style may change, but it remains unmistakably 911.

It’s a vehicle that showcases decades of subtle yet clever improvements.

Value-based pricing and Price: $148,395 (before alternatives).

Typical Real-World Price: $165,000 to $175,000

Cost to Own: Above average; however, compared to competitors, depreciation is mild.

Once you drive a fully outfitted Carrera S, it does not seem too expensive. Among the few contemporary sports cars that really live up to their promise of excellence in all-around performance is this one.

At last verdict: Still the King.
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S lacks trend-chasing ability. This is not a drawback.
Instead, it enhances everything it already does, surpassing the capabilities of nearly everyone else.

It moves quickly without seeming aggressive. luxurious without feeling full. The technology has advanced without sacrificing its natural essence.

The 911 Carrera S feels correct in a way very few vehicles ever do, whether you’re carving out a canyon, speeding across the city, or idling in traffic.

The 2025 911 Carrera S still sets the benchmark in a world of remarkable but soulless machines; it also reminds us why the 911 is more than simply a sports vehicle.
It’s an experience.
